Play-Based Learning: Fun Activities that Strengthen Creativity and Teach while Entertaining

Preschool Arts & Crafts: Learning Through Creation

Art provides children with opportunities to explore and strengthen their powers of imagination, expression and communication, while developing their fine motor skills further. Our preschool arts and crafts curriculum focuses on engaging and inspiring little learners with a wide variety of fun, hands-on, creative art activities. Using modes of expression such as drawing, painting, collage making, sculpting and others, our art classes inspire and nurture the creative spark in each child.

Drawing, painting and collage making : Children take part in drawing, painting and collage making activities that introduce them to important concepts about color, shape and size, while sharpening their observational and creative skills. These activities help with children's large and small muscle development. Learning to handle materials such as crayons and paintbrushes allows children to improve the fine motor control needed for writing, as well.

Sculpting with dough & modeling materials : Children enjoy the opportunity to become great creators, using their hands and strengthening their hand-eye coordination while forming mini-masterpieces such as statues and models with dough and modeling clay.

Art is far more than playtime. It gives children the chance to practice and improve many different skill sets that will be important to their future development. From thought organization and self-expression to communication and problem solving, preschoolers will gain and use numerous abilities that will help them to succeed in various areas of learning. Our fun and varied arts and crafts curriculum fosters knowledge and appreciation of the arts and lays important groundwork in supporting the artistic potential of each child.
