Preschool Programs for 4 and 5 Year Olds :

Our preschool programs recognize that 4 and 5 year old have different educational and developmental requirements than our younger learners. Preschool curriculum for our 4 and 5 year old students incorporates more specific learning, focusing on ensuring that children are equipped with essential information and skills and have reached full kindergarten readiness. As our 4 and 5 year old students grow so do their needs for age appropriate academic stimulation. Our preschool program for older learners focuses on providing children with adequate hands-on learning opportunities and an increased amount of challenging, independence-building tasks.

Our 4 and 5 year old students learn tangible skills in a variety of subject areas including reading, writing, vocabulary expansion, math, science and social studies. They are also encouraged and supported to make major leaps forward in areas such as hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills and personal care. They experience concepts of community and socializing by interacting with others closely and positively and are helped to build valuable communication and cooperation skills.

There is a greater emphasis on making sure that children are reaching developmental milestones and have achieved required learning benchmarks. While children are still given many opportunities to play and freely explore, they are also provided with more targeted lessons that help them to master the knowledge and abilities they will need in kindergarten.
